Our story
History
Rewind back to 2009, I made a brave jump and opened my first florist down on Lower Wharf in Bude in north Cornwall. It was small, but quirky and was exactly what I needed to build the brand to what it is today.
Having the shop fuelled my passion; growing in confidence I entered the world of floristry competitions. In 2010 and 2011 I scooped a silver in The RHS Young Chelsea Florist of the Year category. In 2013 I gained a silver at the Chelsea Flower Show in Florist of the Year, and during the same year I came in second place at the National Interflora Florist of the Year. This gave me the determination and drive to complete my ICSF Higher Diploma of Floristry and NDSF Master Diploma of Professional Floristry.
The next Bleujen milestone happened in 2017 when we moved into Bude’s town centre, giving us the space to grow and allowing me to really develop one of my favourite areas of floristry… wedding flowers!

Now
The next chapter
Now into its third chapter, Bleujen operates from my gorgeous at-home studio. I’m still able to work with an amazing team of flower enthusiasts, balance being a mum to my two beautiful kids and continue to create fresh, forward-thinking designs for every occasion.
And the best bit… I still love it just as much as I did in 2009!
